Oh hai!

I'm going to use this blog as a way to keep everyone updated on our travels as well as practising ma writin', so hopefully the content stays nice and random. I'm planning to steal most of the pictures from Pat, so I will inevitably get slapped with a lawsuit from him and be able to document that legal battle as well.

We are off to London next week for at least a year while I complete a Master's degree. Pat is either going to find work as an engineer, or at a brewery. I'm sure you can guess which one I would prefer... We are hoping to travel around Europe quite a bit on a ridiculously tight budget while managing jobs, school, and getting to know London as much as possible. It may sound silly but we'd also like to squeeze in an African adventure while we are in London. It just seems so much more accessible when you're already in Europe, and, well... yolo. April 2015 I'm looking at you. We are also open to recommendations for places to visit in Europe keeping in mind that: a) we have a miniscule budget, and b) want to stay a bit off the beaten path, but not like INDIA off the beaten path. I might try to do a few recap posts on some of our previous trips as well because I generally enjoy encouraging people to visit Vietnam and to take Dukarol when travelling.

PS - Future Emma: please don't look back at the naivety of this post with disdain if we've only done like 1 weekend trip to Bratislava by this time next year or not kept up the blog or lost the court battle with Pat.
